We want to thank you for your time and efforts on behalf of your community members.  Too often, you only hear complaints and negative comments about what is or is not done at the Association.   It seems that when two people meet, unfortunately their first comments lean to the negative.  Let us help you make your term of service as constructive and rewarding as possible.  To achieve this goal, we will again be offering training sessions in 2016.

Starting in May, we will presenting a new rental management program that Cummings will be showcasing for you. This program will help in controlling and monitoring how many renters are within the association.  In June, we will be delving into the most important aspects of insurance.  In August we are planning to again discuss the importance of reserves and funding future major projects. The presenter will be from a professional reserve company. September will again provide opportunities for working on the future budget issues and in October we will invite new directors elected at Fall Annual Meetings to meet to explore their new task.  As dates and locations are finalized, please plan to join us on our journey to make this your best year yet.

Articles in the Industry
We here at Cummings strive to provide the best possible customer service to not only to the Board of Directors, but to the 7,000+ Co-owners we serve. As board members you may face times when there are upset co-owners. We have found a great article that really lays out ways to manage an upset co-owner and what yourself can do in those situations. The article is written by Julie Adamen (above).  Please take a moment to read over this article in preparation to the future conversation with an upset owner. New Website

Our website is currently being updated.. Below is a rough draft of the new layout. We will look to have this completed within the next few months and welcome your feedback after the release.

Meet your Manager
Over the past few years, we have added some new staff members at Cummings.  In order to get to know each of our staff members we are having a new segment showcasing an employee each newsletter.  Let me introduce Jeremy Daunt.  Jeremy is the head of our Brighton office.  He manages all of our properties in the Brighton area, as well as properties in Fenton. Jeremy attended Carman Ainsworth High School and Mott Community College. Prior to Cummings, he spent 15 years as an Account Executive in the Automotive and Television fields.  He is married to his wife Corinna and has a beautiful 6 year old daughter, Lela. Jeremy says that the most challenging element of managing is "managing the various future planning items and daily tasks of my properties, while balancing the unexpected issues that arise."
Cummings is looking at the possibility of hosting a golf outing this summer.  We wanted to see what everyone's engagement would be with a golf outing.  Please follow the link below to take the survey.

Sincerely,
