Employers! Ready to Hire? On the Job Training May be The Program for You
On-the-Job Training (OJT) is a Federally-funded program targeted toward employers to help defray their training costs when hiring laid-off or 'dislocated' workers. This program is a great opportunity for employers to hire new employees while minimizing their overall training costs.
Businesses and organizations can receive 50% - 90% of each new worker's wages paid during the On-the-Job Training period. Most full-time and permanent occupations qualify for OJT funds including jobs in health care, manufacturing, finance, information technology and more.
Funds are available for a limited time. For more information and to apply contact Julia Mattick at the Workforce Investment Board at [email protected] or 607-274-7526.
