Refugee Services of Texas - Sept. 21
Join us for a lunch-and-learn on Wed., Sept. 21, at 12 noon at the Presbytery Office (1110 Lovett Blvd, Houston, TX 77006). Veronika Fournier will talk about Refugee Services of Texas, dedicated to resettling and providing services to refugees, asylees, unaccompanied minors, survivors of human trafficking, and other displaced, vulnerable populations from over thirty different countries of origin. Please bring your own lunch.

We Were Strangers Too - Oct. 5 Deadline
The Creative Action Network and Anti-Defamation League (ADL) have teamed up to invite artists to illustrate portraits depicting a refugee's exodus. Each piece should depict a pivotal moment in the story of a refugee's life. For submittal information, go to creativeaction.submittable.com/submit/56787. Participating artists should also email southwest@adl.org to inform them of their submission. Deadline is Wed., Oct. 5. Pieces from Houston-area artists may be selected by Oct. 7 for display and auction at ADL's Oct. 20 Houston In Concert Against Hate. Questions? Email southwest@adl.org.
