What is something that makes you proud of your church? The Evangelism and Church Growth Committee (ECG) offers this weekly question with hopes that it will generate discussion and inspire others to think in new ways. Everyone is invited answer the question on the presbytery's Facebook page. A Season of Peace
A Season of Peace Devotionals and More
A Season of Peace is a four-week pilgrimage (Sept. 4-Oct. 2) designed to deepen the pursuit of peace. Through daily reflections and other online resources, you are invited to define and deepen your calling as a peacemaker. Sign up to receive daily reflections in your inbox by visiting pcusa.org/subscribe and checking Path of Peace under the category of Advocacy and Social Justice.

Colored Pages Wanted
Have you taken part in the adult coloring craze? Do you have completed pictures that are just sitting around taking up space? Rev. Lindsay Hatch wants use them in an outreach effort. U of the Ozarks
Pastoral Study Leave Program
The University of the Ozarks Pastoral Study Leave Program is an opportunity for Presbyterian pastors to spend 4-5 days on campus for personal study and professional development. The James Struthers Fellowship provides travel expenses, meals, lodging, library resources, and work space for two participants each year.  First preference is given to a member of a presbytery within the bounds of the Synod of the Sun.  Learn more here.

Remembering 9_11
9/11 Peace & Prayer Service - Sept. 11
Webster PC will be one of the many houses of worship participating in an Interfaith Service of Peace and Prayer on Sun., Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. This service to honor the 15th anniversary of 9/11 will be at the Bay Area Unitarian-Universalist Church at 17503 El Camino Real, Houston, TX 77058. Come gather to share messages of hope and healing and recommit to live in peace.
Revival
Time for a Moral Revolution - Sept. 14
The Presbytery's Racial Reconciliation Team encourages faith leaders to attend this event at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2019 Crawford St, Houston, TX 77002, on Wed., Sept. 14 at 6:30 p.m. "The Revival: Time for a Moral Revolution of Values" is a national tour to redefine morality in American politics and challenge leaders of faith to be more vocally opposed to harmful policies that disproportionately impact the poor, ill, children, immigrants, communities of color, and religious minorities. www.moralrevival.org.

Family and friends of Lanorma Gaskin - mother of RE Bart Gaskin at Beaumont, St. Andrews PC - Lanorma died Aug. 17.

Family and friends of Geneva Dake - former member of Houston, St. Andrew's PC and mother of Ruling Elder (RE) Nancy Hathaway of The Woodlands Community PC (WCPC) - Geneva died Aug. 24 and a memorial service will be held on Sat., Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. at WCPC. 

Rev. Deborah Cooper - Member at large - Deborah's father died Aug. 30.

Rev. Mark Downs - Member at large - healing after a recent fall
