Notes of Encouragement for GA Commissioners
Think of how special it is to receive a handwritten note in this time of electronic communication!  Would you take the time to send a message of encouragement for our General Assembly Commissioners?  Notes can be mailed to Lynn Hargrove, 1110 Lovett Blvd, Houston, TX 77006 before June 15.

Our commissioners are:  Regena Bass from Wharton, First; Kevin Boyd from Houston, St. Paul; Johnna Cormier from Port Neches, Trinity; Gary Denmon from Atascocita; Becky Downs from Houston, John Knox; Nora Fitch from Houston, St. Thomas; David Green from Conroe, First; James Hooper from Pinecrest; and Aaron Seay, our Young Adult Advisory Delegate from Sugar Land, First.

Let's demonstrate being a connectional church by writing these notes!
Part-Time Director of Music Wanted
Job Opening
Katy, New Hope is searching for a part-time Director of Music Ministry. If interested, please contact the church office (281-492-8520) or Ron Day (281-636-6962).
Church Membership Questions
You may be aware that our friends at Houston, Memorial Drive and Missouri City, Southminster are requesting to be dismissed from the PC(USA). Typically when a church is accepted into another Reformed denomination, everyone on the membership roll is transferred into the new denomination. Those members that would like to remain PC(USA) have a couple of choices. One would be to join another PC(USA) congregation and have the church membership transferred there. The other would be to have the membership transferred temporarily to the Presbytery of New Covenant, which gives a person a bit more time to make a decision about a new church home. Please contact Lynn Hargrove with questions or to move your membership to the temporary roll at the presbytery.

Energy Audits and Restoring Creation Loans
LIT has partnered with the Presbyterian Foundation and the Presbytery of New Covenant as a means to provide energy efficiency options for churches. They can perform energy audits to help identify no-cost energy saving opportunities including behavior change. They can also help with energy studies that can be rolled up into Restoring Creation Loans to provide capital improvements. You can learn more about both options on the presbytery's website in the "Filing Cabinet."
