Presbyterian Youth Connection
Do you know a young person who exhibits a mature faith and has gifts for leadership? Do you know an adult with a mentoring spirit and a strong relationship with Christ? Then encourage them to apply for the 2016-2017 Presbytery's Youth Connection Council (PYCC).
Youth on the council work alongside adult members to design and lead fellowship, mission, and worship experiences for the young people of our presbytery. Go to www.pbyofnewcovenant.org for more information. Potential youth and adults should complete applications and submit them to their home church for review and endorsement. The deadline is July 1, 2016. Download the application here.
Senior Living: Synod of the Sun - May Mission Story
Waiting on new computers
The Pinemont Apartments is a garden-style, non-profit community offering affordable housing for seniors and disabled persons in the near NW area of Houston. The Pinemont was founded in 1981, through a partnership between St. Giles Presbyterian Church, the Presbytery of New Covenant, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Through a grant of $5,000 offered by the Synod of the Sun for Senior Citizens, four new computers systems have been ordered for the use of the residents. This will enable these low income seniors to be able to keep in contact with family and friends from around the world. Read more here.
