Anthem Debut - Apr. 10
Webster Presbyterian's Faith Choir, Carol Bells and instrumentalists will be presenting "God of Grace and Glory" by Joseph Martin. This anthem was commissioned by Webster Presbyterian to commemorate the life and ministry of Virginia and Kenneth Jones. It will be presented Sun., Apr. 10 during the 11:15 a.m. worship service (201 W NASA Road One, Webster TX). There will also be music in the service that was written by Kenneth Jones.

The Messiahs of Israel - Apr. 18-19 Education Beyond the Walls at Austin Seminary As Jews and Christians in an interfaith dialogue, we will look at a time in the Second Temple period when messianic expectations were high and writers captured these hopes and expectations in varied ways. We will wonder together about the hopes of contemporary Jews and Christians for a messiah, a messianic age and a transformed world. Mon. Presbyterian Leadership Forum - Apr. 25-26
The Presbyterian Church in a Changing Landscape: The Synod of the Sun will host a Leadership Forum on Apr. 25-26 (12 p.m. to 12 p.m.) at the Presbyterian Mission Center in Irving, TX. Greg Smith, Assoc. Dir. of Religion Research at Pew Research Center, will present their latest survey: Religious Landscape Study. All are invited to participate. The cost is $20 for meals and $45 for accommodations (double occupancy/per night). Following the presentation, we will reflect on the data, discuss its implications, and seek creative ways for congregations and presbyteries to reach all generations with the gospel. Register here. |

Clinical Pastoral Education Program at Baylor St. Luke's Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center is offering a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program for ordained individuals and qualified laypersons seeking to improve their spiritual care skills for hospital and congregational ministry. This part-time internship runs from Jul. 11-Jan. 5 from 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Thursdays (with video conferencing option) and 7 hrs/week clinical ministry and two on-call 12-hour weekend shifts per month. There is an online option for participants who live considerable distances from the Medical Center. The clinical setting consists of Baylor St. Luke's and Texas Children's Hospital. Clinical Pastoral Education Program at MD Anderson The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is offering an evening Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program for ministers, pastors, and lay persons who are interested in professional education and development. This part-time evening internship runs from Sept. 1-Jan. 31 from 5:30-9:00 p.m. on Tuesdays with 20 hrs/week clinical ministry. Application deadline is July 15. More information is available here.
