Orange, Texas Flooding Update
Despite the rising flood waters, there was no damage to either First Presbyterian Church or Drake Memorial Church in Orange, Texas. No members of First and perhaps one or two members at Drake have had their homes flooded. Both churches had worship services on Palm Sunday, and the churches in town are unifying to address disaster response. Once it becomes available, we will provide information in an upcoming Tuesday Connect on ways that people can help.

One Great Hour of Sharing
Most congregations receive "OGHS" offerings on Easter Sunday, Passion/Palm Sunday or both, while many receive it throughout Lent; however, you can help sustain the important PC(USA) ministries and programs that are supported by OGHS by making an online gift at any time throughout the year. Gifts enable the church to share God's love with our neighbors-in-need around the world by providing relief to those affected by natural disasters, providing food to the hungry, and helping to empower the poor and oppressed. Learn more at specialofferings.pcusa.org/oghs.

The event costs $15 (includes lunch) and qualifies for 0.8 clergy CEUs. Click here for more information and to register.

Awareness Combats Trafficking (ACT) Gaming App
New Presbyterian mobile gaming app combats human trafficking
An interactive, anime-style gaming app for mobile devices like smartphones and tablets has an extraordinary mission: to keep children and young adults, ages 11 to 14, from becoming victims of human traffickers. The ACT app is the brainchild of lifelong Presbyterian Jill Bolander Cohen, founder and executive director of the Lifeboat Project, a nonprofit that works to fight human trafficking and is a recent addition to the 1001 New Worshiping Communities initiative of the PC(USA). It's designed to educate junior high and high school students about the dangerous, ever-changing schemes of traffickers. For more information or to download the app, go to thelifeboatproject.org.
