Family and Friends of Rev. Sherman Wilson, Honorably Retired - Sherman died on Oct. 8, 2015.

Catherine Henry - mother of Ruling Elder (RE) David McKelroy - Catherine is recovering from double by-pass surgery. David is the Clerk of Session at Gulf Prairie Presbyterian (Jones Creek).

Family and Friends of Martha Jayne Little Pace:  Jayne died on Feb. 7.  She was an early member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian (Houston) and offered her home for worship before the original Church building was completed.

Each week we offer up two congregations and a retired pastor for general prayers. This week please pray for:

Annual Statistical Reports - Due Mar. 4
Many thanks to the clerks (and their helpers) who have submitted their 2015 Annual Statistical Reports.  If you have not submitted your information yet, please contact Lynn Hargrove.  The deadline is Fri., Mar. 4.
Pilgrimage Through Loss - Mar. 4
When grief radically confronts the people we care for, how do we walk with them on their pilgrimage through loss? Join
Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in partnership with the UT-Austin School of Social Work and Hospice for this conference on Fri., Mar. 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.  The cost is $60 and includes lunch.

POP Rodeo Event - Mar. 4
Prayers Of the People (POP) invites you and your young adult group(s) to "POP'S Rodeo" on Fri., Mar. 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Nouveau Antique Art Bar (2913 Main St., Houston).  St. John's Fire food truck will be present and events include a special demonstration by Edet Okon, as seen on the Food Network's "Cake Wars," and a special presentation of Young Professionals Awards!  There will also be a silent auction with prizes from Blue Ridge Ranch, the Houston Texans, and more!

Northwoods Presbyterian (3320 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston) annual concert series presents the Eroica Trio on Fri., Mar. 4 at 8 p.m. General admission tickets are $30 and can be purchased at northwoodsconcertseries.com/.
Juan Marcos 50th Anniversary - Mar. 6
Juan Marcos Presbyterian (3600 Fulton, Houston) will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Sun., Mar. 6.  All are invited to the luncheon that will be held after morning Worship.  RSVP to Esther Ruth Flores at 713-240-7733.

If your small church could use a Baldwin piano in good condition, please contact Joanne Hunter at 713-461-9425 or whhhouston@aol.com.  You will need to be able to move the piano before April 1 and provide a receipt for tax purposes.
Vision Initiative and Social Justice Grants 
This year $55,000 is available for Vision Initiative Grants and $10,000 for Social Justice Grants, and applications for both are being accepted through April 30

Vision Initiative Grants are designed to enhance progress to the Vision and sustain the Mission of the Presbytery. Social Justice Grants are, per the fund's donor, to "be used for social justice issues, particularly for issues concerning equality and inclusion of all persons regardless of sexual orientation."
