RE Sharon Darden, Pinecrest Presbyterian, Houston - Sharon's cousin, Vincent Gibson, died Fri., Nov. 13. Sharon serves the presbytery as Coordinator for the Committee on Ministry.
Jose Luis Casal, General Missioner for Tres Rios Presbytery (Midland)- Jose's sister, Luz Divina Galego, died Nov. 10.
RE Charles Dunagan, Northwoods Presbyterian, Houston - Charles has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is scheduled for surgery today. He serves on the presbytery's Calls and Contract Subcommittee of the Committee on Ministry and is former vice chair of the Committee on Preparation for Ministry.

 Presbytery Meeting, Sat., Nov. 21, at St. John's, Houston Registration only on the day of the meeting - form Addendum (new business) - will be posted on the presbytery website 3 days prior to the meeting, if items are submitted 4 days before the meeting date.
Meeting details:Commissioners are asked to download the necessary meeting information so that the strain of many people on electronic devices does not overwhelm what is available at St. John's. Lunch will be in shifts. This will permit a great opportunity to visit the PCHAS duplexes and the Mission Fair. The post-presbytery meeting publication, Postlude, will be published the week after Thanksgiving.

GA Moderator visits St Philip
Heath Rada, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church (USA), will visit St Philip Presbyterian, Houston, Sun., Nov. 22. He will preach at the 8:30 and 11:00 services. At 9:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall he will conduct an open forum on the opportunities and challenges facing our denomination. Everyone is welcome!

Science and Christianity Lecture
Rev. Dr. Gregory Cootsona, theologian and writer about the science and faith nexus, with speak at St. Andrew's Presbyterian, Houston, Sat., Dec. 5, 7:00 p.m. He will talk about his project, "Science for Students and Emerging Young Adults," which looks at the attitudes of 18-30 year-olds on faith and science. All are invited to MDPC's Christmas Concert!
The MDPC Sanctuary Choir, organist Kathryn White, conductor Charles Hausmann, and a professional orchestra will present a Christmas concert featuring music by 2 composers who have become synonymous with the festive music of the Christmas Season - John Rutter and Randol Bass. Two of their most cherished masterworks, Magnificat and Glad Tidings, will interpret the story of Christmas through songs, carols, choruses, and narration. The music is colorfully orchestrated and dynamic. All are invited to this free concert Sun., Dec. 6, 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Drive Presbyterian, Houston.

Needed: past issues of Horizon's Bible Study Guides
The Presbyterian Women of First Presbyterian, Tomball, are in need of past issues of the Horizon's Study Guide for weekly Bible study. If you have saved past issues and would be willing to donate them to Tomball PW please send them with your representatives to the Presbytery meeting on Sat., Nov. 21, at St. John's PC, Houston. Carol Davis will collect them nearby the registration desk. "An Abiding Hope" from 2013-2014 is not needed, but any other copy would be welcomed.

Caroling on the Ship Channel 
Come participate in "Caroling on the Ship Channel," either Sat., Dec. 5, or Sat., Dec. 12. Gather at the Sam Houston Tourboat between 5:30-5:45 p.m. The caroling cruise will last approximately 1� hours. We will be singing Carols to all of the ships in port along our route. Come make a joyful noise on the MV Sam Houston singing to the world!
Make sure all adult singers have valid/current identification; it is required in order to enter the Port of Houston. Send names to Seafarers Chaplains Rev. David Wells or Rev. Ben Stewart.
