About this month's presbytery meeting
Registration for the Nov. 21 Presbytery Meeting at St. John's Presbyterian, Houston, will be at the church on the day of the meeting. No online registration. The Packet with information about the business of the meeting will be posted on the Presbytery website Fri., Nov. 6.

Heath Rada, Moderator of the 221st General Assembly, will be with us at the meeting. The "Mod-a-Rada," as he is affectionately known, will preach the morning worship service. As our keynote speaker, we will try to replicate sitting on his front porch at Montreat Conference Center in North Carolina where he has hosted people from around the world to talk about the church and how we can respond to the crises that we see.

A special opportunity will be a tour of the Single Family Homes complex built by Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services (PCHAS) on property formerly on the St. John campus. Don't miss the chance to visit these homes!
Change of location for Equip conference!
The EQUIP conference for youth workers, volunteers and parents scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, will NOT take place at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church because of a continued power outage at the church.  The conference will take place instead at the Presbytery Center, 1110 Lovett Blvd. The conference will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. We hope you will join us for a day of worship and workshops to empower those who minister and care for young people.  Be sure to register online

Last opportunity this year!
Healthy Boundaries will be offered again for church professionals Tues., Nov. 17, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Presbytery Center, 1110 Lovett Blvd. This course fulfills the requirement of the PC(USA) that all ordained clergy, CREs, and candidates under care of the presbytery receive training every 5 years to help them avoid sexual misconduct allegations.
