FaithWalking for Pastors
Pastors spend all their waking hours and perhaps some of their sleeping ones working with and on behalf of their parishioners in the hope of helping them go deep into their spiritual lives. Sometimes, though, they need to take a brief 'time out' to renew and restore their own faith lives. The Professional Life Subcommittee on Ministry is pleased to present FaithWalking, an overnight retreat for pastors that follows a rhythm of hearing presentations on missional living, spending time in solitude, and sharing experiences in a small group setting.

Faithwalking for pastors will begin Tues., Sept. 29, at 2:30 p.m. and conclude Thurs., Oct. 1, by 12:30 p.m. at the Cenacle Retreat Center (420 N. Kirkwood Dr. Houston). Cost is $295 per person - $100 deposit to register and remainder to be paid by Sep. 18. The cost includes a single room, meals, material, and the Faithwalking staff.
Register by Fri., Sept. 25.

Healthy Boundaries is a course for church professionals that will provide self-care strategies and the setting of healthy boundaries. It also fulfills the requirement of the PC(USA) and the Presbytery that all ordained clergy, CREs, and candidates under care of the Presbytery receive training every five years to help them avoid sexual misconduct allegations. The trainings will be offered three times in 2015:
  • Tues., Sept. 29, 9:00-3:00 p.m. - Presbytery Center
  • Thurs., Oct. 8, 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. - Covenant Presbyterian, College Station, TX
  • Tues., Nov. 17, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. - Presbytery Center
More information about registration will be forthcoming.
