Chaplain Kathy Sebring and family - Kathy's mother, Kathleen Henry, fell last weekend, experienced a brain bleed, and is now in hospice care.
Pray for those who have suffered great loss as a result of the earthquake in Nepal and those who are working tirelessly to provide rescue, humanitarian aid, and spiritual and psychological support.

Disaster in Nepal
 Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is providing emergency relief and short-term recovery to the people in the area impacted by the earthquake in Nepal. Immediate response will help provide needed food, water, supplies, and medicine to the towns and villages. As long term recovery plans are developed, PDA will accompany and further financially support our partners in the area to insure that a comprehensive recovery is sustained.
Financial support for relief efforts can be designated to DR999999 with reference to Nepal. Gifts can be made online, by phone (800) 872-3283 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. (EST), or checks can be mailed to Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), P.O. Box 643700, Pittsburgh, PA 15264-3700.

Fresh Elastic for Stretched-Out Educators
Mainstream America is finally recognizing that religion does play an ever increasing, commanding role in secular affairs. In the meantime, who is recognizing or dealing with, the "spiritual maturation" of our ever-increasing number of senior citizens? For those willing to take up the challenge, what are some specific approaches that need to be tried in this age of technical and cultural changes? You are invited to the next gathering of Fresh Elastic for Stretched-Out Educatiors Thursday, May 21, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Presbytery Center, 1110 Lovett Blvd., Houston.
Maggie Parker, a retired Christian Educator who currently teaches adult Bible study classes and serves on the Adult Spiritual Life Council at
Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, will address these timely issues as she speaks to us on the topic of "Aging as a Spiritual Journey."
If you are a volunteer, paid staff person, teaching elder or just curious,
you are invited! Lunch will be served, complete with a beverage and dessert. This session will be facilitated by folks with a seasoned heart for education.

Job Opening: Facilities Manager
Clear Lake Presbyterian, Houston, is seeking a Facilities Manager for this intermediate-sized church. This is a full time position with benefits. The person filling this position must have organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and team skills, a good working knowledge of computers and software, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb a ladder.
Job duties include:
Schedule events and provide room setups
Coordinate contracted service work
Plan and execute facility repairs
Manage commercial kitchen usage
Manage facility security
Maintain fixed assets inventory
Plan annual Buildings and Grounds budget
