Rev. Dr. Joan Gray - Joan's mother died Apr. 13 at age 88. Joan was elected as Moderator of the PC(USA) in 2006. She is currently serving on the faculty at Columbia Theological Seminary.
Family and friends of RE Edwin Battise, Indian Presbyterian, Livingston - Edwin died Apr. 14. He was Chairman of the Tribal Elders and served the church as a deacon, elder, and clerk of session. A memorial service was held Apr. 16.
RE Jo Mullendore (St. Andrew's Presbyterian, Houston) and family - Bill Mullendore, Jo's husband, died Apr. 16. He was a longtime member of the church.

Lunch and Learn: reVision Bring your lunch and come learn about reVision Wed., May 6, 12:00 p.m. at a Lunch and Learn session at the Presbytery Center. Charles Rotramel of reVision, a program that works with at-risk youth, will talk about the innovative partnership in the Spring Branch School District (and other places, too) that connects kids on the edge with trained mentors, professional outreach workers, weekly support groups, and academic support.

God and Science 
If you are interested in exploring the dance between religion and science, this class might be for you! Webster Presbyterian is offering a short, intriguing course, "Belief in God in an Age of Science," on Thursdays, April 23-May 28, 7:00-9:00 p.m. to be led by Rev. Dr. Keith Uffman, Head of Staff. The class will explore the key ideas of John C. Polkinghorne, the 2002 recipient of the Templeton Award for Science and Religion. This event is free and offered to the community.
