Lisa and Ryan and the Paul Nazarian family, Northwoods Presbyterian, Houston - prayers for Lisa's healing after the loss of her baby last week and for the entire family.

 

Pastoral Care Coordinator, Julie Odle (St. Andrews Presbyterian, Beaumont) and family - Julie's daughter-in-law, Courtney Odle, died suddenly Dec. 2 in Oklahoma.  Courtney and Craig have two children, ages six and less than a year. 

 

Mary Marcotte (Associate General Presbyter) and family - as they address the health concerns of Mary's mother.

Help 'Christmas Outreach'

Montrose Street Reach Ministry (the ministry that meets Wednesday evenings in the Presbytery Center's parking lot) is providing a Christmas Outreach Wed., Dec. 17. The ministry is in need of 150 new sleeping bags to be distributed that Wednesday. Could your church help provide some of these sleeping bags ($9.99 at Academy)? Please bring them to Patricia Brantley at the Presbytery Center no later than Dec. 17.

Elisabeth Von Trapp in Concert
The Northwoods Concert Series presents Elisabeth Von Trapp with the Conyon Pointe Children's Choir and Douglas Major, organist emeritus of the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, on Fri., Dec. 19, at 7:00 p.m. Ms. Von Trapp will sing Carols from across the globe as well as selections from "The Sound of Music." Born and raised in Vermont, Elisabeth is the granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron von Trapp, whose story inspired The Sound of Music.

First Presbyterian, Tomballwill host the Asante Choir from East Africa Sun., Dec. 21, 11:00 a.m. This region is recovering from years of civil war and genocide that have claimed millions of lives leaving thousands of children and women as orphans and widows. The children who have been rescued from some of life's most difficult circumstances take pride in expressing gratitude through their music.
