 | Discipleship Thoughts |
We are not meant to die merely in order to be dead. God could not want that for the creatures to whom He has given the breath of life. We die in order to live.

If you would like to help by making a financial donation, send checks, payable to "Annunciation House" with memo: "Immigration Project," to The Presbytery of Tres Rios, 1201 W Wall, Midland, TX 79701. For any questions, contact Rev. Jose Luis Casal, General Missioner of the Presbytery of Tres Rios.

Did you know?
Presbyterian hymnals are published approximately every 20 years-about once each generation. The previous hymnal ("the blue one") was published in 1990. Twenty-five percent of Glory to God was written after 1990.
For the new hymnal, the Presbyterian Committee on Congregational Song also reclaimed old psalm tunes, nineteenth century gospel hymns, and other old spirituals that people consider favorites, yet have never been published in a Presbyterian collection. Here are a few of the "old favorites" not previously published in a Presbyterian hymnal: "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling," "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot," and "When Peace like a River (It is Well with My Soul)."
