 | DISCIPLESHIP THOUGHTS |
Cheap grace is the grace we bestow on ourselves. Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, Communion without confession.... Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Available: pipe organ
First Presbyterian, Galveston, no longer needs an organ that was donated to the church after their organ was severely damaged by Hurricane Ike. The church would like to offer it to another congregation under the same circumstances in which FPC received it, i.e., the receiving congregation is responsible for its transport and will retain the same memorial designation. The organ is a 1992 Baldwin D-422, 2 manual, 61 key organ with 5 speakers (including sub) and 2 amps. A receiving congregation would need to bring a truck to Galveston prior to the end of this week to take possession of the organ. Contact Jennifer Klein Salyer (512-657-3577).

Leaders will demonstrate and share methods, strategies, insights, motivations, and inspirations to bring about growth and strength in congregational singing. The workshop will be held Sat., Feb. 22, 8:30 a.m.-noon (light breakfast available beginning at 8:30 a.m.) at Austin Seminary, McCord Community Center (100 E. 27th Street, Austin 78705) Registration fee is $25. Register
