Music at ST. Philip
St. Philip's Concert Series presents organist Daryl Robinson, 2012 winner of the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the American Guild of Organists National Young Artists Competition, in recital Tues., Oct. 15, 7:30 p.m. Mr. Robinson will present music spanning the centuries, from Buxtehude, Bach, and Liszt, through 20th and 21st centuries' Litaize, P�rt, Bovet and Conte. Music at St. Philip is very pleased to present this recital in co-sponsorship with the Houston Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Admission: $10 at the door. St. Andrew's Presbyterian, Houston, invites you to Coffee House Live! Thurs., Oct. 24, for an evening of live entertainment. The family-friendly evening will feature Texas Johnny Boy, an eclectic blues musician and multi-instrumentalist, with his old school rhythm 'n blues band. Music begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Warren Family Center (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). There is no charge; donations are welcome. Bring your friends and your own snacks; good coffee will be provided.

Boys Choir in Concert
The world famous Vienna Boys Choir will perform at Northwoods Presbyterian, Houston, Fri., Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Northwoods Concert Series. This 100 voice choir has had a long tradition of superb choral singing. In addition to performing masterworks by Mozart, Brahms, Mendelssohn and Strauss, they will also sing pieces by Paul Simon and the pop group ABBA. Remembering those who have died
VITAS Innovative Hospice Care annually holds 2 memorial services for the families of their patients who have died. The fall service this year will be held at St Luke's Presbyterian, Houston, Sun., Oct. 27, at 4:00 p.m. The service is open to open to all, not only the families of VITAS patients. A special invitation is extended to Presbyterians who have had a loved one die in the past year to be remembered as part of the service. TE Scott Harbison, pastor at St. Luke's Presbyterian, Houston, will be the speaker at this month's Celebration of Life Memorial Service. A reception follows; resources will be available.
