RE George and Linda Dobbin, St. John's Presbyterian, Houston - Linda's brother died recently in Warwick, Rhode Island. Another concern: their sons' properties are both under water - one in Boulder, CO, and one in El Paso, TX.
RE Helen and Dick Wolf, St. Andrew's Presbyterian, Houston - Helen's sister-in-law, Patricia Gilbert, died Sept. 12.
Ellie Cole, Clear Lake Presbyterian, Houston - Ellie is now at home after cancer surgery. She is the wife of General Presbyter Mike Cole.

Young Adult Advisory Delegates
Nominations are being sought for New Covenant's Young Adult Advisory Delegate (YAADs) to the next General Assembly which meets June 14-21 in Detroit, MI. Endorsements are made by the Session of the young person's congregation and nominees must also complete a written application. Nominees must be a member of the nominating congregation and 17-25 years of age at the time of the Assembly. They should be spiritually well grounded, able to deal well with conflict, and able to function in committees with adults. Deadline for receiving endorsements and applications is Dec. 1. Youth Rally!
Middle and High School Youth and their adult sponsors are invited to Sunday morning worship "youth-style," followed by lunch, games and a hands-on mission project for the Seafarers on Sun., Oct. 20, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Sugar Land. Hey, golfers!
The Annual Atascocita Presbyterian Golf Tournament will take place Sun., Sept. 29, at Red Wolf Golf Resort in Huffman, TX. Tee off is at 1:00 p.m. Entry fee of $75 includes green fees, cart, 2 drinks (non-alcoholic), and a hamburger buffet after play! All proceeds will go to benefit the church's Youth program. Ten percent of monies raised will go to Humble Area Assistance Ministries.

School openings at ChristChurch The Learning Center at ChristChurch Presbyterian, Bellaire, has openings in its full-time or part-time program for children who are 6 weeks old to preschool age. Before and after care program is also enrolling elementary-aged children for drop off and pick up at area schools. The Changing Mission of Mission

If these questions sound familiar, you'll want to attend a seminar hosted by Medical Benevolence Foundation, "Changing Mission of Missions," led by Bob Lupton, best-selling author of Toxic Charity: How Churches and Charities Hurt Those They Help.
