Those attending Big Tent at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville this week - The 2013 Big Tent combines 10 national Presbyterian conferences and a single theme: "Putting God's First Things First" (Matt. 6:33-34).

Session Records Reviews and Treasurer's Workshops
Please note the following dates and make plans accordingly!

Sat., Sept.28 - First Presbyterian, Bryan Sat., Oct. 12 - New Hope Presbyterian, Katy Sat., Nov. 9 - after the Presbytery meeting at Atascocita Presbyterian
Saturday meeting times begin at 9:30 a.m. for treasurer's workshop and 10:00 a.m. for records review. Records should be reviewed annually or biennially. If you aren't sure when you last attended a review, please contact Lynn Hargrove. Please RSVP to Lynn for Session Records Reviews, and to Forbes Baker if you plan to attend one of the Treasurer's Workshops.

New Covenant has received its first grant from the 1001 New Worshiping Communities initiative for a new worshiping community in the Katy area! This $7,500 grant will enable TE Aurelio Rodriguez to continue leading and growing Amigos, a group that meets in homes for Bible study and Presbyterian worship.
Such grants are designed to encourage the birth of new worshiping communities through partner congregations and presbyteries.

Horizon Bible Study for PW
The final 2 overviews of Horizon Bible Study for Presbyterian Women (An Abiding Hope: The Presence of God in Exodus and Deuteronomy by Janice Catron) will be led by Associate General Presbyter Mary Marcotte Fri., Aug. 16, at New Hope Presbyterian, Katy, 9:30 a.m. to noon, and Sat., Aug. 17, at Westminster Presbyterian, Nacogdoches, 11:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (includes lunch and workshop).
