| REVIVAL THOUGHTS |
Without revivals there will not ordinarily be as many persons converted as will die off in a year. There have been churches in this country where the members have died off, and, since there were no revivals to convert others in their place, the Church has "run out," and the organization has been dissolved.

For study and reflection
By action of the 220th General Assembly (2012), the Belhar Confession is again before our church. Prior to the vote by the presbyteries to amend The Book of Confessions by including the Confession, it is hoped that we will engage in a period of study and reflection on this confession with its focus on Christian discipleship through unity, justice, and reconciliation.

Experience has shown that learned people can and do disagree about what the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments teach. Is scripture our authority or are we quick to accommodate the Word of God to the changing mores of culture? Sunday worship will focus on the texts Isaiah 55:6-11 and II Timothy 2:8-17a. The evening lecture will look at questions that have challenged Christians for two millennia. Read more

Emergency operations plans for churches
FEMA has issued a guide for churches in developing high-quality emergency operations plans - whether the emergency is caused by fire, tornado, flood, hurricane, earthquake, arson or violent act. With many incidents occurring with little to no warning, houses of worship are encouraged to develop and/or update plans and procedures to ensure the safety and security of their congregations, staff, and facilities.
