 | REVIVAL THOUGHTS |
The historian William Warren Sweet said: No phase of the religious development of America has been more misunderstood and as a consequence more maligned than has revivalism. It has been the victim of much cheap debunking.... Strange as it may seem to those who think only of revivalism in terms of ignorance ... there is a very close relationship between the history of higher education in America and revivalism.

Info for churches seeking pastors and pastors seeking calls
The PC(USA) is revamping its Church Leadership Connection. If you are planning on filing a Personal Information Form (PIF) or the new Ministry Information Form MIF (formerly Church Information Form CIF) in the next few months, please take advantage of the tutorials on this site which will help you understand the upcoming changes.
The new system, designed to help expedite the call process, will launch Aug. 1. After July 31, the old forms will no longer be available for use. Matching will only be done using the new forms in the system. For assistance with the new forms, call CLC consultants at 888-728-7228, ext. 8550.

 Face-to-Face opportunity
The Church Leadership Connection will hold a Face-to-Face Event at The Big Tent, Aug. 1-3 in Louisville, KY, an opportunity to move beyond the written words of PIFs and MIFs to meet and talk directly with one another about the possibility of ministry together. It is an opportunity to connect in one place during the event.
To participate you must register by July 1, and you must also have a new Revised Ministry Information Form (MIF) completed and sent to CLC no later than July 15. Face-to-Face participants do not need to register for Big Tent in order to attend worship services during Big Tent or Face-to-Face. Face-to-Face participants DO need to register for Big Tent if they plan to attend any other Big Tent activities.
