Needed: theological books and laptops
As a result of a recent mission trip to Peru, we have received a request for SPANISH theological books for a new seminary being built near Quillabamba, Peru. The books needed must be in Spanish and should be appropriate for entry-level theological students covering topics of: theology, Biblical commentary, church history, ethics, worship, devotion, prayer or other topics.
The seminary also needs used laptop computers that are still serviceable for use by the seminary students in Quillabamba. Laptops should have only the operating system installed - no programs, etc. Contact Mike Cole if you have books or a laptop to donate. |

Fresh Elastic for Stretched-Out Educators
Over 50 folks involved with educational ministry and discipleship have attended a Fresh Elastic session! These gatherings are a great way to share ideas and connect with others in this presbytery. Come to the summer session, Thurs., June 13, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Presbytery Center. If you are a volunteer, paid staff person, teaching elder or just curious, you are invited! A gourmet brunch, dessert, and beverages will be provided. Topics will include Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy, Nurturing Spiritual Development at Home, and Spiritual Practices.

Position opening: Director of Christian Education Ministries
First Presbyterian, Bryan, is seeking a Director of Christian Education Ministries. Responsibilities include coordinating educational ministries of church for children through adult. Specialization in either Children's or Youth/Young Adult ministries, with a Master's in Christian Education or education/experience equivalent. Faith commitment to Jesus Christ and understanding of Reformed/ Presbyterian tradition. Full or part time to be negotiated. Resume deadline: June 18.
