REVIVAL THOUGHTS

Some churches in England have created a special "Back to Church" Sunday, inviting "lapsed" attenders to come back and reconsider commitment. Over 20 churches in the London area have adopted the event as a regular part of their calendar year.

The theme of our 2013 presbytery meetings
is "Revival." In keeping with that theme,
Tuesday Connect is running "Revival Thoughts"
on a weekly basis.
Did you submit a grant application?

Connections copy deadline
Please send articles and photos for the May/June issue of Connections to Helen Wolf by Wed., Apr. 10. This issue will be published the last week of April. The newsletter provides an opportunity for reflections on your congregations ministries and the work of presbytery committees, as well as that of our partners in ministry.

A Little Night Music

MDPC invites you to the last concert in Mercury's inaugural season of neighborhood concerts, Sat., Apr. 13, at 2:30 p.m. with the performance of arguably the greatest and best-known of all of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's works, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. The concert includes C.P.E. Bach's Sinfonia in B Minor and Mozart's Adagio and Fugue in C Minor.

Tickets may be purchased at the door, online, at the MDPC Front Office, or by contacting the Mercury Baroque Office at 713-533-0080.

A special occasion!

On Sun., Apr. 14, Community of the Servant-Savior Presbyterian, Houston, will celebrate the completion of their new church building and their new beginning, as they journey on together in Christ. It has been 3 years since a fire devastated the entire church facilities, and rebuilding has been a long and laborious process. But through it all, the congregation feels most blessed with the emergence of a new church home which speaks so clearly of God's beauty, grace, and love.

You are invited to join in this happy celebration - beginning with a special worship service and dedication at 10:30 a.m. and later a "grand opening" to all the community from 3:00-5:00 p.m. (recognitions and appreciations at 3:30 p.m.). Website

Cluster welcomes Eric Hoey
Geneva Cluster is excited to announce that the Rev. Eric Hoey, Director of Evangelism and Church Growth Presbyterian Mission Agency, will be the keynote speaker at the cluster's spring elder training. His theme, "Overcoming Our Fears in Evangelism," speaks to us in this Year of Revival for our Presbytery. Participants will also be encouraged by a report on the growth of First PC Vidor's soup kitchen and by the testimony of a resident of God's Girls, a new transitional housing ministry begun by St. Andrew's Presbyterian, Beaumont.

You are invited to come Sat., Apr. 27, 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian, Port Neches. Come early for coffee and goodies!
