River Ruckus Program Line-Up
Team Haverhill's River Ruckus, and Haverhill Rotary's Rubber Duck Regatta, are coming on Saturday, September 6--starting at 2 pm. Plan your day using the Official River Ruckus Web Page. Print out a handy Schedule as a reference through the day. Help us invite the whole community by displaying the Poster and by following the event on Facebook. And don't forget your Rubber Ducks!
Shoe-la-bration Special Events
"Seymour"--the Lions Club shoe--is just one of seven great designs hitting the streets in mid-September. Follow progress on Facebook.  Self-Guided Public Art Tour Maps will be available mid- September. Here are some other exciting "Shoe-la-bration" events and exhibits.

Fri, Sept 19, 3-7 pm--Opening Reception for "Shoe-la-bration" Pop-Up Museum
at City Hall.  The Pop-Up historical exhibit runs from Sept 16-Oct 10 during regular City Hall business hours.  Opening reception is a free event; RSVP is helpful but optional.

Sun, Sept 21, 3-5 pm--Artists' Reception for "Shoe-la-bration" Art Show at Buttonwoods Museum, co-sponsor of the show.  An exhibit of additional works by artists involved with Soles of Haverhill 2014 will run from Sept 11-27, Wednesdays through Sundays during regular museum hours.  Museum Hours and Information. Artists' Reception is a free event; RSVP is helpful but optional.

Block-Party, Cook-Out: Portland Playground
On Sept 18, from 4:30 to 6:30, a cookout and block party will be held at Portland Street Playground.  The free event will include food, games, and door prizes, and is co-sponsored by Team Haverhill and the Haverhill Community Violence Prevention Coalition (HCVC).  The neighborhood is invited, along with city leaders, volunteer groups and individual citizens who have supported the playground renovation in any way.  Thank you!
Volunteer Expo
Inspired by a conversation at Possible Dreams this year, four Haverhill nonprofits teamed up to organize the First Annual Haverhill Volunteer Expo, scheduled for Sunday, September 28, 12-3 pm, at the Haverhill YMCA. Seven different organizations are already signed up to participate, and yours can too. Download and distribute the Expo Flyer, or use this Exhibitor Registration form to reserve a booth.

Team Haverhill is an independent, volunteer action group dedicated to making Haverhill a better place to live, learn, work and play. We pursue this purpose by fostering civic dialogue, organizing hands-on projects, 
creating a more informed public, and advocating for positive change. Most months of the year, we meet on the second Monday from 7-9 pm. See upper right-hand block for next meeting date and location.
