Farmers Market Opens Tomorrow
|  Get a real taste of summer! Saturday, June 28, is opening day for Haverhill Farmers Market. 9 am to 1 pm on Bailey Boulevard, next to the Police Station. More than two dozen vendors offer locally produced crops, baked goods, wine, and crafts. Plus weekly live music and activity tent for children. More information on Facebook. |
Kayak Program at Plug Pond
|  It's often been a topic at Possible Dreams--and now kayak and paddle board instruction and rentals have arrived in Haverhill for the summer! Plum Island Kayak has partnered with the recreation department to provide services at Plug Pond, with rentals that can be used in other locations. Next Steps for Portland Playground
|  Positive feedback from the local community keeps pouring in from the Community Build on June 7--along with lots of questions about next steps to complete the plan. Andrew Herlihy, who co-ordinates the City's participation in the renovation, advises us that the paving contractor is expected to lay down the court surface and paved internal walkways next week.
