March 31 Meeting for Portland St. Families

A second Community Meeting for Lower Acre residents is scheduled for Monday, March 31, from 6-7 pm, to discuss improvements at the Portland Street Playground. The location is Trinity Episcopal Church, William Street entrance. Click here to let us know you'll be there. The first meeting in November drew 35 neighbors and friends to comment on preliminary plans. Work is expected to occur this spring and summer.  Team Haverhill seeks business sponsors and individual donors to help us to "match" City funds for the project. Soon, we will be looking for volunteers to assist with the build, and agency partners to keep the site filled with positive, life-giving activity.

organizing hands-on projects, creating a more informed public, and advocating for positive change. Most months of the year, we meet on the second Monday from 7-9 pm. See upper right hand block for next meetng date and location. Anyone is welcome to attend a meeting.
