Gala Tops Goal--Thank You!!!

The Art Walk on the Bradford Rail Trail is a vision with legs! Because of extraordinary community support, the All Aboard Auction Gala on November 16 far exceeded its original goal by bringing in more than $30,000 for the project. We extend our thanks to our enthusiastic auctioneer, Matt Noyes, to music-makers from Spotlight Playhouse, to our generous bidders and ticket-buyers, to our many wonderful event volunteers, to the fantastic project team that put it all together, and to our terrific partner--Friends of Bradford Rail Trail--whose perseverance and hard work are making the Rail Trail dream into a reality.
A Special Place for You
All kinds of people have a role in creating Haverhill's positive future, and there's a special place for you! Registration will open soon for Possible Dreams 2014, scheduled for Monday evening January 27--be sure to take your place at the table! And unique sponsorship opportunities are opening up now--for people and enterprises looking for a special way to contribute, perhaps for the first time. See the articles below to sponsor a whimsical shoe sculpture or help transform a city playground...
New Shoes are Coming!!!

Whimsical, colorful, larger than life shoe sculptures (fitted with bench seats!) will once again dot the landscape of downtown Haverhill this Spring--and you might want to try one on. The Soles of Haverhill Public Art Project is seeking individual and corporate sponsors, as well as volunteers. For more information, check out Soles on Facebook, contact Leota at 978-697-1648, or send an Email to Soles

Playground Reno Plan Moves Forward

Just before Thanksgiving, 35 neighbors and friends of Portland Street Playground met to review preliminary plans and think about what it will take to create--and maintain--a "positive place on Portland Street." With this strong expression of interest, the project is on track to continue the planning for work to take place next spring and summer. Team Haverhill is seeking sponsors who will help us to "match" City funds for the project, assist with the build, and/or remain partners to keep the site filled with positive, life-giving activity. If you are the special person, or special business, that wishes to become a project sponsor, please contact Alice by Playground Email.
