Farmers' Market Opens Saturday

Fresh Produce The Haverhill Farmers Market returns for its 35th season starting Saturday, at 40 Bailey Blvd. (next to the Haverhill Police Station), from 9 am-1 pm. This year's 25+ vendors will include new entries: Parker River Winery, Soula's Homemade Salsa, Jodi Bee Bakes, National Sharpening Company (knife and tool sharpener), and ApotheCaring Teas as well as some talented crafters. A new partnership with the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce strengthens the market for the long term, while Team Haverhill volunteers continue to support the vendors and the Chamber in keeping the market vital and growing. Team Haverhill and the Friends of the Bradford Rail Trail will host the "All Aboard" Auction Gala on Saturday November 16 at the Haverhill Country Club, to raise money for the Art Walk at the Bradford Rail Trail. A Cocktail Hour and Silent Auction will begin at 6 pm followed by dinner and a Live Auction. Haverhill's own Matt Noyes, NECN meteorologist, will serve as our auctioneer. Early Bird tickets go on sale September 1 for $40; after October 16, tickets are $50--and we expect a sellout! To donate an auction item, click HERE.

Planning is "full steam ahead" for River Ruckus 2013 with a boost from platinum sponsor HTM Credit Union. Car show, boat rides, and top notch bands will lead up to a fabulous fireworks finale. The riverfront location will offer even more family fun as the River Ruckus program runs side by side with the Haverhill Rotary Club's "Rubber Duck Regatta." For more information about the day, or to become a sponsor, click HERE.
