ANZAC Day

This weekend is ANZAC weekend ... While it's a long weekend for some to take advantage of the beautiful weather and spend time with family and friends, for others it's a time to remember, a time to reflect on why we can enjoy times like these.

Monday is a day we should all stop to remember those that were willing or those that did pay the ultimate sacrifice for our great country.

If you don't come from a family that has had someone close to you that's seen active service or served in the military, that's no excuse not to stop and respect the fact that they did.

Monday the 25th is an emotional day for me and many others, It's a day I remember family and friends, especially those that served and continue to serve, it's a day where I think of others that I've never met and appreciate the fact that they stood tall, stamped their ticket and with no thought for themselves and no guarantee of a life past those days, went away to protect us, to keep us safe!

It's a day that is emotional and yet makes me feel thankful and proud.

No one glorifies war, no one wants it, but it's a reality and it will never stop!  As long as there is terrorism, religion, politics and overpowering greed ... there is war!

We have a great country, we have a great lifestyle and we have a great culture.  This culture reveres us to the world, I never want to see that lost, we are Aussies!!!

When you say Aussie you think larrikin, laughing, fun loving, tough, hard working, easy going ... You think of us, who we are!

Thank you to all those that stand and have stood before to protect it!

Thank you for your ultimate sacrifice ...

Thank you for your bravery...

I appreciate it greatly, I never forget it, and my family line will always respect it!
