This week I'm going to hand you over to Derek Brown one of our Business Development Managers to fill you in on what he has been up to ...
Derek's ReportIt's been a busy start to the year for myself, going out and seeing dealers in NSW and Victoria for the first few months. I have also been over to WA to help the boys in Northam and to promote the Neil's Parts name as well as seeing dealers about the Gulf Western Oil product range. We have been getting great results in WA and are growing as a company which is great to see. The boys have a great store and are proud of the facilities.
While in Northam, Craig Bottacin plus one of his mates and myself went for a road trip to see the Peter Brock memorial. Even though I'm a Ford fan it was still good to honour one of the greats in a sport I love to watch.

I headed back to NSW where I attended the Oakland's Truck Show which was held on the 19th-20th of March, and is run by a local committee with the local Lions Club. This was our first time there and they were a great bunch. Nothing was a hassle. The crowds were good and they had up to 100 trucks and also cars, bikes, kids rides and plenty more. It's a great family atmosphere. We mainly displayed the Gulf Western Oil Range along with our LED Light range. We had some great inquiries from local truck companies and had a lot of people mention the way we go about doing our displays, which was a nice pat on the back. The GWO John Deere Mower with a 125HP Kawasaki engine was a great draw card. The kids loved getting their photo taken on it and so did the big kids. A great day and will be back next year for sure.

The following week we packed again and headed off to the opening of the new offices of the AGnVET Store in Jerilderie which was on the 23rd March. Jack and the team there are a GWO Distributor for us and was great to be able to go over and give them a hand. I also had Kevin Davy and Doug from GWO to give us a hand. The local farmers showed up and many of the other AgnVet managers etc from other stores around the district. A big thanks to Kevin and Doug for bringing the VE Commodore Ute.
On a personal note, the next day the Corowa Apex Club which I'm a member (well until the 2nd of July when they kick me out because I'm too old) had the opening of the Kids Bike Learning Track. The club has been working on this project for the last three years and it was great to finally officially open it to the town of Corowa its visitors. It was also great to have past members turn up for the day.
Ok back to work. The next event was the Keith Deisel Dirt Derby. Neil's Parts are the major sponsor for the Header Derby which had a record amount of machines. This year they had tractor pulling, monster trucks, a car show and much much more. Cornfoot Brothers had their machines on display and are loved by the crowds. This team put a lot into the sport and are a customer of Neil's Parts. Do yourself a favour and attend next year's show. You won't be disappointed.
Regards,
Derek Brown
Thanks for doing business with Neil's!
