This week I'd like to touch on the devastating fires in WA and SA.

Farming and contracting can be a rewarding occupation or way of life at the best of times but sometimes we get struck with heart breaking set backs or crippling devastation.
 
On a daily basis in Australia we struggle with floods and droughts or even low commodity pricing can also drive us to the wall.

But to have a tough run with limited moisture all the way through and then be looking at a lucrative cash crop only to get a flood that wipes your harvest out is cruel, like they did in parts of NSW ... Only then to turn the TV on to see fires smashing through WA and SA wiping out crops and destroying infrastructure and killing livestock and also people ... Is absolutely heart breaking.

That being said, Australians are tough and we band together, from the droughts out in western QLD to the fires in WA and SA, Aussies feel the desire to help each other and our hearts go out to those doing it tough.
