I'm on my way to a meeting with our good friends at Gulf Western Oil today and will hand you over to Marney for his Field Day Report from SA ...
This week we attended the Bi-Annual Yorke Peninsula Field Days at Paskeville in South Australia, our last Field Day for the year ahead of Harvest. On site was myself, Derek Brown (Business Development Manager) and Simon Hartas (Dubbo Branch Assistant Manager).
The season has been shaping up very well in most of South Australia, and harvest has just started in some areas earlier this week. The potential is there for good yields but with a threatening warm few days coming up it could take the shine off.
Our site was boosted this year with the addition of a Case-IH 9230 Header fitted up with a Redekop MAV Strawchopper and Michel's Electric Hopper Cover. Many thanks to Justin Harris from Kadina for making it available to display. They did a great job cleaning it up for the Field Days!
The interest in the MAV has been huge, with No Till and Residue Management becoming a major change in cropping programs. The Redekop MAV has been a popular addition to Headers in this area for many years and we have had some strong interest again. It was great to get a lot of good feedback from existing MAV owners singing their praises.
We had a good mix of product on display again and had good enquiry on the Kondex KX7 Concave Systems, Flexxifinger Croplifters, Gateway Sieves, Stewart Steel Auger Extensions, Michel's Grain Tank Extensions and Crop Catchers, and LED Lights.
We also had a large range of Gulf Western Oil available on the site and the services of the Gulf Western Area Representative, Costa Litras. We had plenty of good enquiry and sold quite a few drums at the site.
Regards,
Marney Strachan
