Stay Healthy Lake County
Take Steps toward a Healthier Heart
American Heart Month in February is a great time to focus on heart health. A few years ago, I had a scary, life-changing experience when my doctor discovered I had several clogged arteries during my regular physical. I had to undergo immediate surgery. I thought I was healthy and did not have any warning signs. I have now changed my eating habits and exercise regularly to maintain a healthy heart.  Thankfully, we found out about my heart disease just in time. Remember, heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women, but it's preventable and controllable. So, take steps to heart health today! The Lake County Health Department  heart health tips!
