Bloomington/Monroe County Special Needs Registry

  • Do you have a substantial disability?
  • Does your disability mean you have special needs that you want first responders to be aware of?

911 Emergency It is important for a responder (a police officer, fire fighter or emergency medical technician) to know that a resident has a visual, hearing or mobility impairment or other needs.  Once you voluntarily register, when someone from your residence calls 911, dispatch employees will know about your needs and be better able to provide appropriate services.

After you have registered, someone will contact you every six months to make sure your information is current or to update the information if necessary.

It's vital that you cooperate with the updating process to keep your name in the registry.

Register in one of three ways:

En espanol

The form is available in alternative formats and in Spanish upon request.
