The MASCUSA Breed Standard Evaluation and Education Committee is looking for presenters for Judges Education seminars. If you are interested in becoming a presenter, review the requirements, study the breed standard and PowerPoint, and submit your application and exam to bseec@mascusa.org

This is Capt'n Kirk's first AKC title. Capt'n Kirk has begun to boldly explore the performance dog sports world. He is owned and handled by Cheryl Warren.
He had his 1st birthday on Sunday, July 6, 2014.

wins his 54th AKC Best in Misc. at the Oklahoma City cluster 6/29/14 under judge Mr. Rick Gschwender.
The Oklahoma Kennel Club awarded a very nice rosette and a check for $40! Purina donated a very nice towel for BOB.
There was a nice turnout of dogs for the Misc. classes that weekend.

Puppy Love
I just had to share this "puppy love" picture with you. It is another wonderful Houdini puppy for the Ericksen Family in California. He is joining his almost 2 year old 1/2 brother also sired by Houdini. I just love the temperaments of the pups that have been sired by Houdini!!!

U.S. expands airline rules for reporting animal safety
WASHINGTON - Airline passengers who travel with their pets will have access to more information about a carrier's animal-safety record under regulations announced yesterday by the U.S. Transportation Department.
The new rule expands the number of U.S. airlines that must report on animals that were lost, injured or died during transport to 27 from the current 14, encompassing several smaller carriers.
The rules, which go into effect on Jan. 1, will for the first time include commercial shipments of dogs and cats, such as those by breeders, not just those by pet owners.

The Miniature American Shepherd is eligible to compete immediately in AKC Herding Trials! As soon as you receive your AKC/FSS number you can enter an AKC Herding Trial.
