Please check your AKC and your NAMASCUSA registrations papers when they arrive, if there are any errors contact Mindy ASAP. It is much easier to correct papers now then a year or two down the road, and typos are unavoidable so read your papers carefully.

When do I need to DNA Profile my AKC Miniature American Shepherd?

AKC DNA Profiling is required for:

♦Frequently Used SIRES (Every sire producing SEVEN or MORE LITTERS in a LIFETIME, or producing more than THREE LITTERS in a CALENDAR YEAR);
♦Imported Breeding Stock;
♦Dogs Whose Semen Is Collected FOR FRESH-EXTENDED or FROZEN USE;
♦And For The SIRES, DAM and PUPPIES For MULTIPLE-SIRED LITTER REGISTRATION.

If you are DNA Profiling all of your breeding dogs, it gives the Buyer "peace of mind" knowing, if needed, they can verify that puppy's parents. It completely takes the guess work out of the purchase, by eliminating any concerns about identification and parentage.This DNA Profile number will appear on Registration Certificates and Pedigrees.

We had a WONDERFUL booth at last years show and we want to outdo ourselves this year. In order to accomplish this we need YOU!! The club is looking for volunteers with creative ideas to make this happen AND volunteers to host the booth, meet the public and tell them how our breed is so SPECIAL. Doggie Ice Cream

4 chick thighs in water. Cooled and de-boned. (Save broth for your dogs later.)
Place chicken, 18 oz plain non-fat yogurt (3 small containers etc), two bananas peeled, and about 1/4 cup ground flax seeds into a blender.

Blend til smooth.
Pour into 2-3 ice cube trays.

The Miniature American Shepherd is eligible to compete immediately in AKC Herding Trials! As soon as you receive your AKC/FSS number you can enter an AKC Herding Trial.
