Goodwill Ambassador Invitation
Dogs are many different things to many different people, but once in a while a very extraordinary dog passes through our lives. He may have been the one dog that made an Alzheimer patient smile for the first time in years or a dog that lay at the feet of several shy preschoolers as one by one they gained the courage to read to the dog. Maybe he is owned by a family member or a friend but if this special mini has touched the life of one person or a thousand people, we want to hear your story!
There is no act of kindness too small to submit, because the lives touched by our precious dogs are all worth sharing.
Mid America Miniature American Shepherd Club will be sponsoring this award.
Eligible dogs must be registered with either NAMASCUSA and/or AKC.
The stories will be anonymously read by a diverse committee and one will be chosen to receive the Goodwill Ambassador Award. That story and perhaps a few more will be published in this year's Nationals Catalog.
The winner will be announced at the Nationals Banquet.
Stories must be submitted by May 15th in order to give the committee time to read them and have the winner(s) published.

As a breeder, your dream for each and every puppy is that they get a great home but it is always icing on the cake when you get someone who is really going to do something interactive with their dog that works with the intelligence and desire to work that our wonderful breed has. I am so proud of Megan Coste and what she has done with Patchwork's Believe It Or Not! He was a sweet little black tri boy out of my girl Bluegrass Gemini Of Patchwork and sired by Patchwork's Obadiah in March of 2008.
This weekend she sent me this note,
"We had a awesome weekend at the rally o trials, this was the AGM so the judges were also board members and president of CARO, they had flown in from Ontario. The comments that Ripley received made me so proud, the judges and fellow competitors had nothing but praise for every one of his runs. Ripley received his gold title CRG, He has posted 15 scores over 190/200 to receive this title. He is the first dog in Our club to receive this title. By the end of the weekend we only need 2 more Q runs for his Grand Master title ( hopefully in Octobers trial!!). We had 10 runs in two days posted 2 perfect 200's, 3 runs of 199/200, 197/200, 198/200 and only 3 NQ's.
So now his name is "CRG CRS CRB Patchworks Ripley Believe it or not CGC PJC HIC CRNCL CRAMCL CRNT CRECL CRV CRAT". After the great performance this weekend from Ripley, he is only 7 runs away from finishing every level offered in Canada."

Timeless Laughing Out Loud (Giggles) & Timeless Minnie Pearl(Pearl) had a great time at the recent Santa Maria Kennel Club agility trial. This was our 3rd trial & 1st venture into a class other than JWW. Giggles earned a double Q with 1st places in Novice preferred STD & JWW on Sat & Pearl got a 1st in her Novice JWW division. Sunday Pearl took 1st in her Novice STD class & got a Q in T2B 12" group. Very happy with how well my girls worked. They held up far better than me! Submitted by Lisa Wilson |

'Oprah' (Too Minis Love That American Icon) made her debut at the Texas ICKC show this weekend and is shown with her buddy/mentor 'Merlie' (GR CH Ickc HOF Love That American Red White and Blue CM) along with some of their ribbons won this weekend. Between the two of them they won multiple Best in Show puppy and adult awards, multi group ones, multi best of breeds and AKC Best in Misc! We ran the agility jumpers course from the world team tryouts that day. Skipped trying to herd sheep in the very muddy pasture. Lots of rain - we were all muddy at the end of our lessons.

Open to all registered AKC Herding Breeds and all other breeds approved by AKC to compete in AKC Trials as of June 9, 2013, and dogs with ILP #s. In these breeds, six months of age or older for Instinct Test and nine months of age or older for HT/PT.
LIMITED ENTRIES:
Limited to 35 runs - Sheep for HT and PT
Sheep, Goats, or Ducks at Judges' discretion for Instinct Tests
Day-of entries will be accepted for Instinct Testing if space is available.
Entries Open: Monday, March 18th, 2013 - 8:00 am
Pre-Entries Close: Thursday, May 30, 2013 - 6:00 pm at Secretary's office after which time entries cannot be accepted, canceled or substituted. When numerical limit is reached, additional entries will be placed on alternates list.
