AKC Tidbits and News
AKC Litter Registration
Per our agreement with AKC/FSS, beginning January 1, 2013 all litters born of two parents that are registered as Miniature American Shepherds must be registered with AKC. NAMASCUSA will not register litters born on or after January 1, 2013 of two Miniature American Shepherd parents, unless they are litters born in Foreign Countries.
The application to register a AKC/FSS litter is on the AKC website
www.akc.org or email Mindy to receive one by email.

JAM-MIN' AGILITY!
The Jam-Min' Aussies finished their 1st year in Agility with 36 Q's out of 40 runs!

Lil' Nubbins Sydney - 10 out of 10!
Boot Top Tasmania - 8 out of 10
Boot Top Brisbane - 10 out of 10!
Lil' Nubbin's Melbourne - 9 out of 10
In their first year of agility, they entered CPE, ASCA, AKC, USDAA and NADAC trials and really enjoyed them all!
All the Jam-Min' Aussies are now running in CPE Level 3 or higher.

This is a picture of the dogs I own and the ones I have bred.
Of the 16 dogs in the picture only 5 do not actively compete in Agility.
2 are too young but are in agility homes.(This litter is the first one of Miniature American Shepherds born in South Africa).
1 is a recent import and is in training.
1 has taken the life of farm worker and helps his owner herd cattle.
1 lives on a small holding with his border collie brothers.
8 are champions.
Of those 8, 5 are multiple champions
Of those 5, 2 are Grand Champions
Of those 2, 1 is an Elite Grand Champion
3 are in the top grade in Agility and hopefully this year will see them title as Champions as well.

This change of address has been done in order to provide a better system of checks and balances. Paperwork will be held for a sufficient time to allow checks to clear the bank prior to being forwarded for processing. Payment made by PayPal must be against an invoice generated by MASCUSA for specific processes. Foreign money orders and cashier checks must be drawn on a U.S. bank. All mail that has been sent to PO Box 141097, Broken Arrow, OK and PO Box 65, Shawnee, OK, will be automatically forwarded to the new post office box.

The 2013 K9 Cruise was once again a wonderful experience!!! We had a great turnout again this year but sure would like to see some more Aussie fans next year! Fellow K9 cruisers and I enjoyed great entertainment like the Circus Dinner performance. Teacup Treasures Mystical Magician received a Group 2 in the Dog Show at Sea!!! A beautiful handmade Amish quilt was given to the winner of Best in Ship.
Lots of fun and great seminars by Pat Hasting-Tricks of the Trade, Puppy Evaluations, Structure in Action, Carmen Battaglia-Breeding Better Dogs, Puppies & Development, Dr. Robert Hutchinson-K9 Reproduction & Pediatrics, Dr. Debbie Gross-Saunders-K9 Strengthening & Condition, Preventing Injuries, Dr. Ann Greenbank-Chiropractic & Acupuncture, Dr Aubrey Fine-Therapy Work & The Loving Bond, Dr. Brian Zanghi-Optimizing Performance w/Nutrition & Nutrition Strategies for the Older, Active Dog. They have a few of the same speakers each year and always add several new ones with lots of different topics.
They are working on next years cruise and I will post the info when they get it finalized. Sure hope some of you can make it!!!

First time out, BIS, BISS, Multi Ch. Ridgestar's Wick'd Witch Of Th' West won BOB and Best in Misc. both days, over a big entry at the Whidbey Island Kennel Club Show, Monroe WA. She was also ranked #4 this past year with MASCUSA. We are very proud of Paiton and her accomplishments.

The Miniature American Shepherd is eligible to compete immediately in AKC Herding Trials! As soon as you receive your AKC/FSS number you can enter an AKC Herding Trial.
