MASCUSA
Winsheet Notice and New Programs
Greetings!

The Miniature American Shepherd is now in the AKC Miscellaneous Class. As of the close of business on June 26, 2012 the NAMASCUSA Championship, Grand Championship, and Top Ten programs were terminated. All points earned from January 1, 2011 to June 26, 2012 will be tabulated to determine the Top Ten dogs, to be honored at the 2012 National Specialty. All winsheets to be applied towards the Top Ten must be received by the MASCUSA Business Office on or before July 15, 2012. No fee or application is required for Top Ten. A fee is required for any titles earned - contact Mindy in the MASCUSA Business Office.

Beginning June 27, 2012: Dogs that are enrolled with AKC/FSS as Miniature American Shepherds may now show in the AKC Miscellaneous Class. A Certificate of Merit can be earned from AKC. MASCUSA will implement new club Championship, Grand Championship, and Top Ten programs - these will be published shortly and will allow points from both AKC and other approved show venues to be used towards titles. Points earned by a dog prior to June 27, 2012 will roll over into the new club point and title programs. Going forward, only dogs enrolled with AKC/FSS as a Miniature American Shepherd may receive points towards club titles. Dogs must be enrolled with AKC/FSS in order to receive a club title. The owner of the dog must be a MASCUSA member in good standing. Dogs must be shown in the Miniature American Shepherd class at show venues approved by the Board (Parent/Affiliate club hosted shows, AKC, IABCA, ARBA, KCUSA and ICKC). The AKC Miniature American Breed Standard must be used at all show venues. Winsheets will still be necessary for non-AKC shows. New winsheets will be published with the new club programs shortly, but in the meantime the current winsheet may be used. Winsheets are not needed or allowed at AKC shows.

Best of luck to all those showing in AKC shows this weekend!!

Sincerely,

MASCUSA Board
