Dear friends,
Happy Spring to all of you! I have so much to be grateful for. My husband, my family, my doggies, and I are currently healthy and happy. That's really more than enough for anyone. But to top it off, we had a great year of business last year at all three companies, and we have wonderful things planned for this year as we continue to grow. Some highlights of what we've been up to are:
- Our new website www.thehughgromangroup.com has been launched, with a modern look and overview of our companies.
- We are growing our catering division at Phil's Sliders, with new equipment enabling us to deliver Phil's Sliders, hot and on time, for your next event. Soon you'll be able to place catering orders online on our website.
- We've added some beautiful new photos to the gallery on our hughgromancatering.com site.
- I just filmed three new videos for my web series on Berkeleyside.com on cooking and entertaining, and those will be released over the next couple of months. I really enjoyed the filming and I feel like I'm finding my voice and getting more comfortable with the videos.
We always appreciate your referrals, and especially your spreading the word about our new Phil's Sliders catering option! We wish you the best and look forward to seeing you in 2015.

Staff Spotlight David Horn
Chef at Hugh Groman Catering
|
Dave works as both a sous chef in our production kitchen and an event chef. After obtaining his business degree from the University of Delaware and culinary arts degree from Johnson & Wales, Dave opened a small restaurant in Costa Rica before moving to the Bay Area to work in catering.
He recently spent two months backpacking all over Mexico to learn regional Mexican cuisine, which he loves. In his free time, he enjoys going to local farmers' markets, playing tennis and visiting wine country.

Phil's Sliders is our restaurant located at 2024 Shattuck Ave. in Berkeley. Our simple menu includes yummy sliders made from Sun Fed Farms grass-fed beef, fried chicken sliders, vegetarian sliders, crisp potato tots, sweet potato fries, fresh organic cole slaw, salads, milkshakes made with organic milk, and a variety of unique sodas. We also have beer, wine and Sangria!
