Message from Hugh

I do love my job. I've been having such a good time working with clients to plan their beautiful events. What I'm especially grateful for is all the wonderful people on my team who handle SO many of the elements of what we do, so that I can concentrate on what I enjoy and am good at. :)

One thing I love to do is perform! I'm excited to tell you all about a new video blog I'm working on in conjunction with Berkeleyside, the wonderful East Bay news website. There will be short clips with fun tips about cooking and entertaining, and we've already begun filming. Stay tuned for more!

A Recent Event

We recently catered an event for 750 guests at 1015 Folsom in San Francisco. The menu is listed below. We love doing smaller events, but we also had a great time stretching our wings at this event. Our team totaled 60 staff, including managers, chefs, and servers. We're in the process of developing relationships with larger venues so we can do more of the big ones!

Phil's News

We took the plunge and installed two flat screen TVs at Phil's for special occasions and sporting events. We also have signed up with Caviar and Mr. Delivery so we can now offer DELIVERY. We've been having a great time at our monthly karaoke nights... the next one is scheduled for June 20th, 8pm to 11pm. Check it out!

Greenleaf Platters is growing like crazy. We've been hiring delivery drivers and growing our sales team to help meet the demand. People are using our service for business events, small celebrations at home, non profit celebrations and fundraisers, even big weddings! Elaine Young
Sale & Marketing Manager

Elaine is our Sales & Marketing Manager. She handles our social marketing for Greenleaf Platters, Phil's Sliders and Hugh Groman Catering. She also does sales for Greenleaf Platters. Elaine comes to us with over 15 years of sales and and customer service background.

In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family; husband Kevin, son Jacob, daughter and son-in-law Jess and Nick, and her pride and joys, her three grandsons, Masen, Jaxson, and Cooper.

Phil's Sliders

Phil's Sliders is our restaurant located at 2024 Shattuck Ave. in Berkeley. Our simple menu includes yummy sliders made from Marin Sun Farms grass-fed beef, fried chicken sliders, vegetarian sliders, crisp potato tots, sweet potato fries, fresh organic cole slaw, salads, milkshakes made with organic milk, and a variety of unique sodas. We also have beer, wine and Sangria!
