The Benefits of Holiday Meditations

During the holidays, our complicated schedules tend to become further cluttered with additional activities. And, they can make finding the clarity to handle everyday problems even more challenging. Psychic ability helps with the decision making process because it allow you to useinformation from "beyond the physical". It is often the case that the most unlikely solution at first thought is the most appropriate and positive one. Other times, the opposite is true because more information comes to light. However, when your mind is cluttered with additional activities, it can be difficult to focus on those answers. One tool you can use to validate your psychic impressions is meditation. It's nice to take a moment to meditate and sort out solutions.

Meditation has four elements that include: finding a suitable place, making yourself comfortable, focusing, and keeping an open mind. All of these essential parts of meditation must be practiced to have productive sessions, and they can bring great benefits to your life. Over time, meditation can help you solve problems, achieve your goals, and live a more balanced life.

First, find a quiet place where there will not be any distractions for the duration of your session. The place will be your "sacred space" where you have blocked enough time to have a good session. Your space should be set at a comfortable temperature, have the correct lighting for you, and have a comfortable place for you to sit, recline, or simply feel relaxed. A place like an empty office, a hotel room, your car, gym, church, or even a path to walk or run can be suitable for meditating.

The second element for successful meditating is to maintain a comfortable posture during your session. This can mean sitting, lying down or moving at a comfortable pace. Exercise, walking, or running can often allow you to drift away from your daily issues. Some people have told me that taking a motorcycle ride is very relaxing, but I would use caution when meditating in a moving vehicle. The scene you set for yourself allows you to fully engage in the third element of your meditation.

The next element is focus. Setting an intention for your session allows your mind and soul to set aside other issues and dwell on specific needs. Yoga teachers say to quiet the "monkey mind" that clutters your thoughts. Once you have cleared your mind, you can start to think about those needs.

The final element of successful meditation is to have an open mind. A flexible attitude is important because it allows you to consider all information you have at your disposal. It allows you to reach out to the universe and use your psychic abilities to help you find clarity. Some tools that may assist you in becoming open include focusing on your breathing and releasing tension.

Focusing with an open mind may lead you to make the final decision to do nothing, or you may decide that you do not have the energy, interest, or information at this time to make the best decision. Regardless of the outcome, you have meditated on and considered your situation. Making this determination will give you some peace of mind, and you can move on to other issues needing your attention.

Using the four elements of meditating is a winning formula in today's world. We are constantly bombarded with information and asked to make quick decisions. Technology bombards us and demands our attention as well. It can all be very distracting.   Meditation allows us to turn off all of the signals we are receiving and just be ourselves. It is a fresh and up-to-date method for us to cope with all of the stimuli we face today.

This holiday season, you should take time to meditate so you can enjoy your time with loved ones. Meditation can make your holiday experiences deeper and more meaningful. The holidays are often precious landmarks of time because memories are created, and meditation can help you create the best holiday season of your life. Whether you are welcoming new members of the family, saying goodbye to others, or just strengthening the bonds you have with those you love. Meditation and a little inspiration from beyond the physical can make all of the difference in keeping things in perspective.
