I Can Do It
Conference
by John Cappello

ICDI Logo

The "I Can Do It" Conference sponsored by Hay House Publishing was held in Austin, Texas last month and it had to be considered a big success. The list of speakers appearing at the conference was a "who's who" in the metaphysical and self-help industry. Anyone attending would not be paying attention if they left without receiving some insight or an uplifting message. It was very nice that the speakers were accessible and some of the best known were available to sign their books. The large attendance of the event is a sign that this type of spirituality and empowering messages is becoming more and more main stream.

My book signing was just after a very uplifting talk by Dr. Wayne Dyer and the people who came to my booth were very enthusiastic.   They were eager to receive a copy of a new metaphysical book and this made me feel very welcomed in the community. Many of the people knew about my work as a psychic medium and were complimentary. The sample of people at the conference was a demonstration of the positive attitudes of those interested in metaphysics.

The "I Can Do It" brand has become a metaphor for self-empowering action and was a perfect place to promote developing psychic ability. The perspectives offered by the speakers and the conference re-enforced the belief systems of the attendees who were speakers, healers, psychics and seekers of truth in their own right. This conference offered new ideas and insights not found in other venues. This was the most attractive aspect of the weekend. Hay House, celebrating their 25th anniversary, had to be pleased with the attendance and the reception they received from the people in Austin.

Self-improvement has been a movement gaining momentum for a long time and there are many opportunities to hear motivational speakers on the topic. For example, I will be appearing at the Wellness Expo in Addison, Texas this month. This is the North Texas version of the "I Can Do It" conference. The Hay House conference; however, has a special reputation because the list of famous speakers and because it is repeated in cities on a worldwide basis. It was a good experience for me to attend the event and it is my hope to have the opportunity to do so again sometime in the future.

Astrology Forecast for April 2013

Kaye Coffey ~ Astrologer

Everyone ~ April is the month where the breakthroughs will come fast and sometimes hard. Our world is full of issues and taboos that Kaye Coffey seem too weird and painful to address, but April is the month we will make the leap. Observe them as they suddenly arise and don't hesitate to move forward. Bravery will pay off. Eyes open, no fear.

Aries ~ The pressure to reorganize your finances continues to be the focus. This is a very important time and recently you have confronted issues you had hoped to avoid. The reward for facing all obstacles will be dramatic and will go far beyond merely financial. You life will be set on the right track with inspiring new possibilities.

Taurus ~ You are a witness to others enduring life-changing events, often involving hardship and loss. Remorse over events in the past are clouding judgment. Your ability to see patterns is heightened and your insights are on target. Helping others find clarity will help give your own life direction and form. Organize your finances.

Gemini ~ This is a lucky but complicated time for Gemini. Life is demanding that you take a responsible approach. You may have ignored circumstances that now demand your attention. Financial matters will go well but may quickly be absorbed by obligations. You will adjust and can enhance your standing and potential. Turn challenges into opportunities.

Cancer ~ Cancer it is time to do an update on your ability to nurture others. Powerful creative forces are at work in your unconscious, so it will go smoothly. You need to be a little more detached and disciplined - less indulgent and more objective. Partners may be less affectionate now. Calmness will strengthen and preserve fraying emotional bonds.

Leo ~ Leo's are big on bright, warm venues, cheery stories and receptive peeps. However, April brings moody times, tough talk, and nervous people with short attention spans. Deliver your message with softness and honesty. Your friends and family need to hear, but tread lightly. Pay attention to financial issues. A simple and clear approach is best.

Virgo ~ The world is saturated with seductive messages; pheromones fill the air. Virgo's may be sometimes concealing their discomfort with that stuff to fit in. You want to shake others and tell them to keep their eyes on the task at hand and meet life challenges head on. Offer advice when asked and keep your own energy levels up. Remember the saying " Teach a man to fish, do not fish for him" . Meditation is important now.

Libra ~ Circumstances on all fronts may feel unstable. Conditions require constant adjustment and you could feel like you have to watch your back. Set boundaries and see that occasionally others are allowed to influence your feelings too much. Workplace politics may feel somewhat deceptive. Keep relationships simple and clear. Use your intuition and you will navigate this period with grace.

Scorpio ~ Now may be the time for Scorpio to take a look at intimate friendships and romantic attachments. Clarify and communicate ... that is the ticket to relationships. If partners do not know where you stand it is tricky to negotiate a satisfying outcome. Others may have trouble understanding Scorpio. It is time to loosen up and discuss your true feelings. You can do it! Breath

Sagittarius ~ The trend is favorable for Sag's finances. Psychologically, not so much. Deep memories and old issues are stirring the pot of uncomfortable emotions. It feels personal and partly about the world issues. Quieting the mind in meditation is very important. You have the ability to make advances that seemed impossible months ago. Just taking them head on will be so rewarding.

Capricorn ~ Capricorns, generally, are not the most trusting and risk taking group. Now is the time to move past stubbornness and fear. Open up to new experiences, expand and explain your ideas. The planets look favorable in April ....wealth and fame are on the table. Release the past and don't miss out on opportunities because of excess caution. You can feel what is best..

Aquarius ~ You have the trait (mostly) to be optimistic, willing to work and fight for your ideas and causes. Deep down you worry and fret. April is the time to stop negative self talk. You are a powerful creator and it is the time to put positive and cheerful into action. Do not indulge in doubt. Powerful supportive forces are at work to bring your aspirations into being. Concentrate on manifesting what you dream.

Pisces ~ You feel powerfully motivated to build a better life. The planetary wind is at your back supporting your efforts. It is important to build a network of like-minded allies. Project your intentions and watch how fast the Universe responds. Create a space in your life where you can do things your way, this may cause resistance on the home front. Don't avoid and tackle issues as they arise. Use the famous intuition.

The Water Element

Sandra Moore Williams, Face Reader

In this fifth and final article on Chinese Elements in Face Reading, we will look at recognizing and understanding the Water Element.

Sandra Williams
Sandra Williams

Water people are fascinating people that defy exact classification. You'll understand that comment when I explain that Water types love ambiguity, they don't like to be nailed down and generally have the mental agility to avoid it. Let me tell you about a friend of mine who is quintessential Water.

Two Mormon boys on their mission knocked on her door and Satya welcomed them in, offered them refreshments and sat down at the kitchen table to talk to them. By the time she had finished debating spiritual truths two hours later, they were ready to leave their religion and have her teach them. Little did they know she had followed the Water path of questing after spiritual truths which took her to many religions, many gurus and gave her a new name which she calls her "momento from the 70s." Nor did they know that a Water personality is verbally gifted, loves a good debate no matter the question being debated, and doesn't even have to believe in the side taken to argue it to the ground. It's their sport. Those boys didn't have a chance!

Another story: Satya took her father to the Phillipines to a psychic healer when he when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given no hope. The healer cured him, then she put him on a plane back to the US and stayed on to apprentice to the healer. She spent over a year on the island, learning the art, then writing an expose for a national American magazine on some of the other healers and their methods. Water traits that played into this typical kind of behavior: these people are incredibly inquisitive, will keep digging to get at the truth, and have a knack for breaking through people's boundaries to become privy to all kinds of interesting stories and facts. They are restless and can't stand to be bored ... so they will cook up some interesting situations and take crazy risks the rest of us would never consider. Verbal skills with persuasion.

Third story: Satya was going camping with a friend. They agreed to get an early start, but noon came and went and no Satya. Kara called. Satya was doing many things as well as her laundry for some items she needed to take. She said she would be there by two. Five o'clock finally saw her arrive. Kara was fit to be tied, but you have to expect such situations if you are friends with a Water person. They will test your patience, but sometimes will have no patience with you. They don't go in a straight path to a goal. Like water, they spread out and cover the landscape, finding their own way and their own level. Highly imaginative, they lose track of time in their side trips and creative endeavors. She calls it piddling.

Her piddling and Water gifts has taken her from an average student with a high school education to winning National Mall Manager of the year, writing for a national magazine, starting a successful business of designing jewelry and selling it via home parties, to owning a wholesale accessories company with a room at Market Hall in Dallas. She can sell everything from ideas to products and talk her way in and out of anything. Seductive, she carries an air of mystery that she is not about to clear up for you. You will think she has, but she's just spun a story to satisfy you. She will feed you, console you, reassure you, and if necessary, tell you to get over yourself when she's had enough.

Water is also highly skeptical, will challenge your loyalty and your intentions, and test you. They fear betrayal. It is hard to put anything on a Water.

As you can imagine, many lawyers, politicians, sales pros, and evangelical preachers are heavily Water. The other characteristic worth knowing about is their gift for being able to so diplomatically get rid of someone that they may never realize they have been sent packing.

Water issues are around fear, trust and boundaries. They can panic in the face of a physical harm threat to the point of a freeze response. When there is no physical safety at issue, they can take amazing risks most of us wouldn't consider because they trust their own mental cleverness to carry them through. They are also determined, restless, imaginative, argumentative, and apprehensive.

Dominant Emotion: Fear. Complement: Wisdom. Organs: kidneys. Color: Blue and black.

Recognizing a Water Element:

There is an amorphous quality to a Water shape, so the face may defy an exact description. Generally the facial characteristics include any of the following: a prominent forehead, often vertical, high, and broad with a pronounced curve at the top; strong jaws; large eyes with a soft gaze or a cooly aware, startle look; and a fullness to the lower cheeks. The body has a feeling of subtle movement, almost swaying. The women typically have an hourglass figure and often wear flowing garments that move and hide the body.

Some famous Water people: Franklin D Roosevelt, Mao te Sung, Martin Luther King, Susan Sarandon, Meryl Streep, Drew Barrymore, and Kate Winslet.

Let's Talk About Crystals

By James Dillard

This month the speaker for our Meet Up groups in the Dallas area is

James Dillard
James Dillard
James Dillard owner of the Crystal Source in Hurst, Texas. James is an expert in crystals and will be sharing with us his knowledge about them and the healing powers of their energy. In addition, he will be giving tips to help us when we go on our upcoming crystal dig in Arkansas later this month.

James will start his talk by discussing the basics of the chakras and their color rays. The crystals Rhodonite, Rose Quartz, Morganite, and Pink Tourmaline will be part of his presentation to our group. Below is a portion of his talk:

"There are seven chakras and each of them is associated with a particular color and intent.   The chakras are our energy centers that start at our "Earth Star" and continue to our "Solar Star."   They are like a vortex that spins at certain frequencies or vibrations. In order for us to remain healthy and grow, we must keep these chakras in order. They can

get blockages and create illness as well.

Crystals are just one healing modality that is used to balance our energy system. Let's take a look at the chakras first, and then I will explain one of my personal grids used to help me with some grief, loss of a loved one. You may use this formula for any heart matters as well.

Here is an explanation of the Chakras:

Earth Star Or Root- Color is red, connects us to earth element- body sense is smell- endocrine gland is testes and ovaries

Sacral Chakra- color is orange and element is water- body sense is taste and endocrine gland is adrenals.

Solar Plexus Chakras color is yellow and element is fire- body sense is sight and endocrine gland is pancreas.

Heart Chaka Color is green and pink with an air element, the body sense is touch and the endocrine gland is the Thymus.

Throat Chaka is turquoise which is an opaque, blue-to-green, the element is the ether, the body sense is hearing and the endocrine gland is thyroid and parathyroid.

Third Eye or Brow Chakra color isdeep blue with the element of spirit and body sense is extrasensory perception, and endocrine glad is pituitary

Crown or Star Chakra color is violet with the element of spirit the body sense is all the senses and the endocrine gland is the pineal.

I will begin by talking about heart healing stones since I used this formula during the loss of my grandmother, and I thought I should share the stones to use this week. Rhodonite, Rose Quartz, pink tourmaline, and morganite. There are more, but we will discuss these for now. I have all of these at my store.

Rhodonite is a stone for using your talents for the highest good and rhodonite is a stone that works from within to help us grow spiritually by helping us to learn to love ourselves and in return this allows us to find and use our talents for the greatest good and promoting a higher frequency for us and expanding outward to our community and planet. It is a stone of the heart and our heart is what we must follow!

Color- Pink, tan, and black manganese oxide and manganese relates to the color violet as well

Chakra- Heart and root

Angels= Ariel is associated with pinkolor Associated with Ariel is Pale Pink.

Rose Quartz- One of the most powerful stones for us to use. Do not let the color fool you. This the stone for the heart and releases those emotional negative patterns that need to be removed. It is a stone vibrating to the frequency of love which is the highest frequency of all and the heart is the strongest for raising our light frequency and even more powerful than the brain. By using rose quarts, you can meditate and carry or wear this stone and continue to raise your light quotient. It is a straight line to the divine!

Color- Pink

Chakra- Heart

Pink Tourmaline- love, joy and happiness into your life. This stone is also high in lithium content which helps calm mood and emotional problems.

Color- Pink

Chakra- Heart, and higher heart chakra through the thalamus.

Morganite- connects one to divine love and compassion. Brings peace and joy.

Combine this stone with Sugilite to attract your soul mate.

Color- Pink

Chakra- Heart

Marfa Lights

The interest in the paranormal continues to grow but few have encountered a true phenomena.  This is why Joy Kauf from Miracles of Joy and I have teamed up to create a tour to view the Marfa Lights ( a paranormal wonder), the McDonald Observatory and a real Western Army Fort in West Texas.

The Marfa Lights are a sight for all to see in the night skies around Fort Davis, Texas.   These lights have been a mystery since settlers first recognized them in the 1800's.  The lights come out every night and have been known to help lost people in the deserts of Texas.  They remain a mystery today even though they have been studied for over a century.

We are planning a trip to see the lights and while we are there, visit the famous McDonald Observatory.  The Observatory is the home to one of the world's largest telescopes. Our trip is during time when we will be able to view mysteries deep into the Milky Way.  There are no lights to distract our view of the night sky so the stars light up the night.

Fort Davis is a treat for anyone who has every seen a Western movie.  This is a real fort that was occupied by the famous Buffalo Soldiers.  The soldiers were an African-American group of soldiers protecting the frontier from marauding native Americans tribes in the area.  The soldiers received their name from the Indians they fought because their skin color reminded them of the Buffalo.

The tour is a four day excursion with all fees paid.  We are going in October and hope you will join us.  Here are more details about the trip:  Click Here
