UMKC SBTDC client Nilson Goes of Infinite Energy Construction Wins SBA's Missouri Small Person of the Year!

Goes started Infinite Energy Construction in 1996 with two employees, and it has expanded to over 40 employees by 2014. Infinite Energy provides general and electric contracting along with contract management services. Goes will travel to Washington, D.C., on May 15-16 with the other state winners for the SBA's National Small Business Week, where one company will win the national Small Business Person of the Year Award.

Urban Business Growth Initiative Clients Report $7 Million in Increased Sales and over 32 Jobs Added

In less than a year, the Urban Business Growth Initiative has graduated its first Ice House class, held 125 counseling sessions with more than 40 clients, and helped clients add 32 jobs. Counseled clients have also reported $7 million in increased sales. (Read more)
