We strongly support this amendment and any legislation to dedicate taxes paid by road users (motor fuels tax, vehicle sales tax, registration fees, taxes on spare parts & tires, etc.) to the State Highway Fund for non-toll highway projects.
SJR 12 (Perry) - To remove the DPS diversion from the State Highway Fund resulting not only in an $812.6 million net gain to the SHF per biennium, but also greater truth in taxation by ensuring more of our gasoline taxes are spent for the purpose for which they were collected.
