Ahhhh, at last, summer is here!  The days are longer, the kids are out of school (WAIT..the kids are out.of.school!) and for many of you, your business coulbe be experiencing a seasonal slowdown.

One way to keep your business up if you have a summer slump is to focus on customer service and building stronger client relationships. That's why we're focusing on "the client experience" on the COATS blog this month. Check out the stories below to learn how to give your clients the best customer service possible. And if you find ours lacking - let us know ASAP!

One thing that's definitely not in a slump is social media; it keeps heating up! Make sure you have a presence on social media to communicate with clients and candidates. To help us communicate with you, we've added a Pinterest area and Google+ account; check us out!

Speaking of communicating: you use COATS regularly, which makes you something of an expert on it. Well, now knowledge isn't just its own reward; your knowledge could win you money! Send us a "Did You Know" for COATS and you could win a $25 gift card. See below for details.

Enjoy your summer and thanks for being part of our family,

Karen

Focus: The Client Experience
Do you treat your candidates as well as your clients? All this month on the COATS blog, we're covering the candidate experience: how to improve the service you offer to your candidates and attract stronger candidates in the process.

The Client Experience vs. the Candidate Experience
Staffing companies are unique in that they have two separate, distinct markets and types of relationships: candidates and clients. The differences that tend to pop up when comparing how staffing firms engage with these two groups can serve as learning tools. Meanwhile, the similarities serve as a primer on great customer service.

The Client Experience: Processes & Procedures
Just as we advised regarding candidates last month, a great way to get a feel for your clients' experience of your company is to view your procedures through their eyes, especially if they haven't worked with you before. And the best way to do that is to enlist the help of several friends or networking partners.

The Client Experience: Client Information Systems

One of the secrets to good clients service is knowing your clients and their needs. After all, you don't want to send a client a clerical candidate who doesn't know their phone system, or send them a birthday card 3 months early or late. So it's a good idea to develop a client information system to keep all this useful info at the ready.

The Client Experience: Relationships & Communication

Now that you've gotten your client information system together, you might realize that there are significant gaps in how well you know your clients. The bad news is that those gaps indicate the lack of a genuine relationship, but the good news is that they're easy to fix. In fact, it's the same way of fixing most relationships...

Did You Know We're on Pinterest?
We've caught the latest wave in social media and have three boards on Pinterest: Feel free to follow us or repin or just peruse our boards. See you there!

We're Also on Google+
We've also established a page on Google+ for everyone who's on that site. We're posting mostly the same content as on our "Staffing Stuff" Pinterest board. But we must admit, it's a little lonely there right now. If you're on Google+, please let us know and we'll try to form a little staffing outpost on it. :-)

LinkedIn logoThe COATS Users Group on LinkedIn is starting to heat up! We created this group for COATS users to discuss the software with us and with each other so we can all get more out of it.

This is a members-only group, so you don't have to worry about anyone wandering in and spamming us. Unfortunately, that means you do have to apply for membership, but we promise you'll get in; all you have to be is a COATS user. We look forward to seeing you there!
