Promocan sites not affected by the dreaded Heartbleed Bug

Please note that the promocan sites DO NOT use the OpenSSL protocol. Office Beacon, the PPPC's web developer has verified that the promocan.com domain is safe from the Heartbleed vulnerability bug.

Changes to Canada's General Preferential Tariff (GPT) regime will mean higher duties for importers

The Government of Canada has announced changes to Canada's General Preferential Tariff which will withdraw entitlement to GPT benefits from 72 higher-income and trade-competitive countries, including China. Higher duty rates will be levied on goods imported from these countries effective January 1st, 2015. It should be noted that goods in transit to Canada before January 1st, 2015 are exempt from this rule. Read more HERE.

Please note that your "Alert" email goes to the PPPC IT Director only and does not go to the supplier in question. Once received, he will then investigate and report back to you.

DML Creation Moves to New Location for Faster Lead Times
DML Creation has moved to Mirabel to better serve their clients with faster lead times. Being next to the Mirabel International cargo airport will help them take one day off their transport times, allowing for faster shipping.
After a long negotiation with FedEx, DML is now shipping FedEx ground to Atlantic and Eastern Canada Clients, and 3-day air to Western Canada clients. Company president Ron de Moor says, "We are very pleased with our move and new location, and we are sure you will appreciate the faster service!"
