Support Terri Anastasi's new book of poetry, Fending, soon-to-be published by Main Street Rag. This is the link. $4 on sale! I met Terri through one of my and Belea Keeney's free critique sessions this spring and was impressed with her poetry. I introduced her to my publisher, M. Scott Douglass at Main St. Rag and soon we were all cooking on her first poetry chapbook. I say, "This is a book filled with images that carry the weight of misunderstandings, yet the strength and compassion of unconditional love. Watch out, world: we have a brave new poet on our hands."

Writing Tips from Alice

Alice Osborn 2013-2
Never make the readers aware that he or she is being told a story.

Create like a child would, without concern for what others may think or whether it's been done before.

To discover your voice, write as if your only reader is an intelligent but uninformed friend, and old friend whom you trust.

Crammed into the Packard along with Jubie are her three siblings, her mother, and the family's black maid, Mary Luther.
