Hello Friends of Parlando,
When I moved to Colorado in 1999, one of the first musical events I attended was the Denver Municipal Band performing in Denver's Wash Park. It was fun, energetic and hundreds of people showed up with blankets and picnics ready to enjoy an evening of music. My family and I still travel down to the Denver area to catch the band a couple of times every summer - but now with our kids who dance to the music in the cool summer evening grass.
On Sunday, January 25th at 2:30pm the Denver Municipal Band is coming to the Dairy Center for a live concert in the Performance Space. I have already bought tickets for my family (they are only $5 each!) and I encourage you to do the same - it should be a lot of fun, even without the summer park setting.

About the Band:
The Denver Municipal Jazz Band, a professional ensemble, will perform a diverse repertoire from jazz and swing classics to Pop, Latin, and more. Bring your family!
Founded in the late 1860s by Alex Sutherland, bugler at the "Charge of The Light Brigade," the Denver Municipal Band is the oldest professional concert band in the continental United States. Currently the band plays at different city parks during the summer and community centers and performance venues year round. The Denver Municipal Band has several components. One is a 40 piece Concert Band, another is the 17-piece Jazz Band.
